Florida Governor Rick Scott visited GBSI corporate headquarters on July 29 as part of his “Jobs for the Next Generation” campaign tour. The Governor praised Global Business Solutions as a model of successful growth, and also greeted students that were among the recent leaders in the Young Entrepreneurs Academy’s first class of young business owners in Escambia County.
“We’re here talking about jobs. If you think about this generation, they want to work,” the Governor said. “If you think about the jobs of the future, a lot of them are going to be STEM related. So we have to make sure our K-12, our colleges and our universities are very focused on it.”
Also on hand to deliver remarks on job growth and the local economy were State Representatives Clay Ingram and Mike Hill, Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward, and a large crowd of other local elected officials and guests.
