Services Provided – Information Technology Services

As an Information Technology Support Services sub-contractor, Global Business Solutions, Inc. (GBSI) provides software engineering and application integration services in support of the Navy Education and Training Command (NETC).

GBSI is developing J2EE based web services to support the Navy Enterprise Training Strategy’s (NETS) move towards a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). These web services facilitate the information exchange between the Corporate enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARS) and external systems, minimizing redundant data storage across those systems.

GBSI is conducting cutting edge testing in the Navy Integrated Learning Environment (ILE). Testing is of the first SCORM 2004 compliant course in a SCORM 2004 LMS environment. GBSI is also replicating the Learning Management System (LMS)/Learning Content Management System (LCMS) and Navy Knowledge Online (NKO) integration allowing development, review and delivery of classified content. Within NKO GBSI is also developing web-accessible digital dashboards allowing instructors to view student module completions, testing progress and be alerted to remediation needs.
